SingLift is a real-time vocal stability and voice steadiness meter. This page explains what the app measures, how the stability value is calculated, and how to understand the displayed states.

What does SingLift measure?

SingLift measures short-term vocal steadiness while you are producing a continuous voice. It analyzes pitch movement in real time and displays a simple stability state.

WEAK The voice is not stable enough yet, or the input is not suitable for measurement.

FAIR The voice is reasonably steady during the current measurement window.

STRONG The voice has remained steadily maintained for the required duration.

SingLift is designed as a vocal stability meter. It is not a medical device, diagnostic tool, or a replacement for professional voice training.

How is vocal stability calculated?

SingLift estimates stability from short-term pitch variation. In simple terms, if the detected pitch stays more consistent during a measurement window, the stability value becomes higher. If the pitch fluctuates more, the stability value becomes lower.

For transparency, the current version uses the following stability calculation:

Stability = 1 / (1 + 20 × (σ / μ))

Where:

μ is the average detected pitch within the measurement window.
σ is the pitch variation within the measurement window.
σ / μ represents relative pitch variation.

This means SingLift focuses on relative pitch steadiness, rather than simply judging whether a voice is high or low.

What does STRONG mean?

STRONG means that the detected voice has remained stable enough for a short continuous period. It is not based on a single instant.

If you stop your voice, take a breath, sing too softly, or the detected pitch becomes unclear, STRONG may disappear. This is normal behavior because SingLift measures the voice being produced at that moment.

Why does SingLift sometimes show no pitch or stability value?

SingLift only displays pitch and stability when the input is suitable for measurement. This helps avoid showing unstable or unreliable measurement values as if they were valid results.

Pitch or stability may not be shown when:

The voice is too quiet.
The pitch is unclear.
The detected pitch is changing too irregularly.
There is not enough stable voice data yet.
The microphone input is affected by noise.

Does SingLift record or store my voice?

No. SingLift processes microphone input on the device for real-time measurement. The app does not store voice recordings and does not upload voice recordings to a server.

Is SingLift a medical or diagnostic tool?

No. SingLift is not a medical device and does not diagnose voice conditions, health conditions, or vocal disorders.

It is a simple real-time tool for observing vocal steadiness during voice practice, singing, speaking, or tone control exercises.

Can SingLift improve my voice?

SingLift does not guarantee voice improvement. It can help you observe changes in vocal steadiness in real time, but improvement depends on your own practice, technique, physical condition, and training environment.

Why does the result change when I breathe or stop singing?

SingLift measures the current voice input. When you breathe, stop singing, speak softly, or produce an unclear tone, the app may temporarily return to a weaker state or stop showing a measurement value. This is expected behavior.

Why does SingLift use only WEAK, FAIR, and STRONG?

SingLift is designed to be simple and easy to read while using your voice. Instead of showing too many technical states, the app summarizes the current measurement into three practical states: WEAK, FAIR, and STRONG.

Is the stability value a ranking?

No. SingLift is not a ranking system and does not compare users. The stability value is only a real-time measurement of the current voice input under the current conditions.
